The word base is meaningful to us for several reasons:

Our company is based in San Diego, an area with Marine Corps and Naval bases that house 190,000 active duty Marines and sailors.

Base originates from the Latin basis and translates as a starting point or center of operations. A pilot calls the base for additional information or assistance outside Air Traffic Control.

Music is a very important component in our business. Bass is spelled differently than base, but it’s pronounced the same, and the base is any bottom music note. In basic drum beats, bass is a deep tone sound, while base provides its foundation.
